Jesse James Horse Barn
Waverly, Tennessee
Still standing! Located in the hills of Humprey County, Tennessee near Nashville is a house barn reported to have been used to shelter the race horses of Jesse James.
Jesse was called “the Rabbitman of Humprey County” perhaps because he moved so often. Basically, he led a quiet life here and even belonged to a church in the area.
This photo was taken by Walker-Wyatt while on a tour organized for members of the James-Younger organization while attending a James-Younger annual convention held in places that Jesse reportedly lived or was connected to the James history in some capacity.
